EZ Winners – Prize Promotion TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  1. The Promoter

The Promoter is: Halo Autocare Limited, trading as EZ Car Care of Alex House, 280/8 Chapel Street, Salford, Manchester, England, M3 5JZ.

  1. The competition
    1. The Promoter runs a series of competitions on its website named ‘EZ Winners’, available at ezwinners.co.uk
  2. How to enter
    1. Each competition will specify its own ‘Opening Date’ and ‘Closing Date’ which will be clearly displayed in the description of each available competition on the Website.
    2. To enter a competition: 
      1. A participant must create an online account. To register an account, participants will need to provide the details requested on the account registration page, which includes their name, phone number and email address. 
      2. Once logged in, the participant will be able to select the competition they wish to enter by clicking the ‘Enter Now’ button located underneath each listed promotion. 
      3. After clicking on the ‘Enter Now’ button, the participant will be taken to the competition description page of the selected competition.
      4. There are three ways in which participants can enter the promotion:
        1. Route one
          1. answer the question displayed below the description of the selected competition on the Website; 


  1. provided you have answered the question correctly, you will be invited to proceed to pay to enter the competition using one of the payment methods indicated on the Website;
  2. Route two: use the free ticket received through qualifying subscription boxes purchased on ezcarcare.co.uk; 
  3. Route three: enter for free by post to: Unit 5 & GMC House, Discovery Park, Crossley Road, Stockport SK4 5DZ.
  4. All participants who validly entered into the competition will be placed into the same pool (regardless of the chosen entry route) from which a winner will be chosen at random.
  5. All competition entries must be received by the Promoter through the Website no later than the closing time on the Closing Date of each promotion (as specified on each promotion). All competition entries received after the Closing Date of the relevant promotion are automatically disqualified.
  6. The Promoter will not accept:
    1. responsibility for competition entries that are lost, mislaid, damaged or delayed in transit, regardless of cause, including, for example, as a result of, equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, satellite, network, server, computer hardware or software failure of any kind; or
    2. proof of transmission as proof of receipt of entry to the competition.
  7. By submitting a competition entry, you are agreeing to be bound by these terms and conditions, a copy of which is always available on the Website.

  9. Eligibility
    1. The competition is only open to all residents in England, Wales and Scotland aged 18 years or over, except:
      1. employees of the Promoter or its holding or subsidiary companies;
      2. employees of agents or suppliers of the Promoter or its holding or subsidiary companies, who are professionally connected with the competition or its administration; or
      3. members of the immediate families or households of (a) and (b) above.
    2. In entering the competition, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim the prize applicable to the competition you entered. The Promoter may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter the competition.
    3. The Promoter will not accept competition entries that are:
      1. automatically generated by computer;
      2. completed by third parties or in bulk;
      3. illegible, have been altered, reconstructed, forged or tampered with;
      4. photocopies and not originals; or
      5. incomplete.
    4. There is a limit of [one entry to the competition per household OR one entry per person]. Entries on behalf of another person will not be accepted and joint submissions are not allowed.
    5. The Promoter reserves all rights to disqualify you if your conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the prize competition.
    6. Competition entries cannot be returned.
  10. The prize
    1. Multiple competitions may be operated at the same time by the Promoter and each competition will have a specific prize. Each competition will contain a full description of the available prize, which may be a sum of cash, a single item or it may be a bundle of items.  
    2. Prizes are subject to availability. If the prize constitutes goods, there is no cash alternative for that prize. 
    3. The prize is not negotiable or transferable.


  1. The decision of the Promoter is final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.
  1. Participants will be able to join a ‘Facebook live’ session with the Promoter in which the winner of the competition will be chosen and announced to viewers (“Announcement Session“). Details of the Announcement Session will be published on the Website. 
  2. The Promoter will also contact the winner personally as soon as practicable after the Announcement Session, using the telephone number or email address provided during the account registration process.
  3. The Promoter must either publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. To comply with this obligation the Promoter will publish the surname and county of major prize winners on the Website as soon as practicable after the Announcement Session. If you object to any or all of your surname, county and winning entry being published or made available, please contact the Promoter using the contact details on the Website. In such circumstances, the Promoter must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.
  4. Claiming the prize
    1. Please allow [NUMBER] days for delivery of the prize. 
    2. The prize may not be claimed by a third party on your behalf.
    3. The Promoter will make all reasonable efforts to contact the winner. If the winner cannot be contacted or is not available, the Promoter reserves the right to offer the prize to the next eligible entrant selected from the correct entries that were received before the Closing Date.
    4. The Promoter does not accept any responsibility if you are not able to take up the prize.
  5. Limitation of liability
    1. Insofar as is permitted by law, the Promoter, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize, except where it is caused by the negligence of the Promoter, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. 
    2. We are responsible for ensuring that the prizes match any description we provided, are fit for purpose, safe, do not contain any material defects and are of reasonably satisfactory quality. Nothing in clause 8.1 above affects our responsibilities in this respect.
    3. If you are a business we have no responsibility or liability to you for losses of profits.
  6. Ownership of competition entries and intellectual property rights
    1. All competition entries and any accompanying material submitted to the Promoter will become the property of the Promoter on receipt and will not be returned. 
    2. By submitting your competition entry and any accompanying material, you agree to:
      1. assign to the Promoter all your intellectual property rights with full title guarantee; and
      2. waive all moral rights,

in and to your competition entry and otherwise arising in connection with your entry to which you may now or at any time in the future be entitled under the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 as amended from time to time and under all similar legislation from time to time in force anywhere in the world.

  1. Data protection and publicity

The Promoter will only process your personal information as set out in the [LINK TO PRIVACY POLICY]. See also condition 6.3 and condition 6.4, with regard to the announcement of winners.


  1. If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions, the Promoter may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude you from participating in the competition.
  1. The Promoter reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend the prize competition where it becomes necessary to do so.
  2. These terms and conditions shall be governed by English law, and the parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
